Angel Biscuits
A classic southern biscuit recipe that uses both yeast and baking powder for a light, fluffy texture. The dough is covered with a damp cloth and left to rise before baking.

Ingredients
- 5 cups flour
- 3 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 cup corn oil
- 1 package dry yeast
- 1/2 cup warm water
- 2 1/2 cups buttermilk
Instructions

Dissolve 1 package dry yeast in 1/2 cup warm water.

Sift all dry ingredients together and mix with liquids.

Place in large bowl covered with damp cloth and place in ice box.

Pinch off biscuits and use as needed.

- • The dough can be stored in the refrigerator and used as needed
- • Cover with a damp cloth to prevent drying out
- • Pinch off and bake only the amount you need
