Cheese Straws
A savory cheese straw recipe from Mrs. Wilton J. Daniel of Tyler, Texas. These spicy cheese crackers are made with sharp cheddar cheese and a kick of cayenne pepper and tabasco sauce.

Ingredients
- 3 cups flour
- 2 sticks butter
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 20 to 30 drops tabasco sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 lb extra sharp cheddar cheese
Instructions

Cream grated cheese with butter and tabasco sauce.

Add dry ingredients and mix thoroughly.

Put in cookie press (we use the star).

Bake on lightly greased cookie sheet 10 to 15 minutes at 400°.
