Bourbon Pound Cake

Ingredients
- 2 c. pecans, chopped fine
- 1/2 c. bourbon
- 2 c. soft butter or margarine
- 2 1/2 c. sugar
- 8 eggs
- 3 1/2 c. flour
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp. cloves
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 c. bourbon

Combine pecans and 1/2 c. bourbon. Let stand.

Cream shortening and sugar until light and fluffy.

Beat in eggs one at a time beating after each addition.

Sift dry ingredients together and add alternately with the remaining bourbon.

Fold in nuts and bourbon. Add vanilla.

Turn into a greased and floured 10" stem pan and bake about 1 hr. at 350° F.
